about

Lyrics: traditional Yoruba chant, Nigeria
Ochún is the goddess of love, water, intimacy, fertility, beauty and good fortune of the Yoruba tribe in West Africa, Brasil and Cuba.
She lives in fresh waters, rivers, lakes and waterfalls.
The chant speaks about a necklace of pearls as an initiation into love.
Each one of us represents a unique pearl in the form of our heart, different and yet the same. Altogether we built this necklace of pearls, we are this circle, we are this unity…one heart, one love, one spirit!

lyrics

1. Ide were were nita Ochún
Ide were were
Ide were were nita Ochún

2. Ochún, Ochún, Ochún da cachoeira.
Ochún, Ochún, Ochún da cachoeira.(2x)
